Yes! iGrad is offered through the Galena City School District, an Alaska public school district. Students who complete all required credits earn a legitimate, official high school diploma from the Galena City School District.

iGrad is completely free! Like other public schools in Alaska, we receive funding from the Alaska State Department of Education. Students who meet age requirements and are enrolled in the program receive all services at no cost to them.

If you’re successfully attending a traditional classroom program, we encourage you to stick with it. Talk to your counselor before making a decision to leave. Both traditional and alternative education have benefits, and the right choice depends on your situation. If, after discussing with your counselor, you believe an alternative program is the best fit for you, get in touch with us.

Absolutely! Our online courses are available 24/7, so you can study whenever it fits your schedule.

It depends on the course and your background. iGrad offers a variety of courses from different online curriculum providers, all aligned with Alaska state standards. Many courses are designed for credit recovery and begin with a pre-test to assess what you already know. You then focus only on the skills you still need to master, saving time and effort.
