Find Your Path to Graduation

iGrad Alaska is a free program for high school students who need a more flexible, supportive path to graduation.

Who Is iGrad For?

iGrad is open to all high school–age students who currently live in Alaska. Students must be under 20 years old to enroll. (If you’re already 20, give us a call—you might still be eligible depending on your actual date of birth.)

Beyond meeting those basic requirements, iGrad is a great fit for students who need flexibility, support, or a different approach to learning.

If you match any of the descriptions below, iGrad might be a great option for you:

  • You need to keep a job while finishing high school.

  • You like to learn at your own pace.

  • You’ve taken a break from high school and now want to finish strong

  • You’re raising a child and need a program that adapts to your busy home life. 

  • You have health challenges that make school challenging.

  • You are in need of credit recovery or acceleration.

No matter your situation, iGrad Alaska is designed to support you so you can finish high school on your terms.

How Does iGrad Work?

As an iGrad student, you'll finish high school by completing online courses on your own schedule. You'll be paired with a local certified teacher who will help you choose your courses and walk alongside you on your path to graduation. 

Here’s how you can get started with iGrad:

1. Quick Interview

After you complete our online enrollment application, an iGrad coach will reach out for a short interview. This helps ensure that iGrad is a good fit for your academic needs. Our goal is to help every student who contacts us—even those who don't enroll with iGrad. Following some initial academic assessments, you'll start a probationary class to determine if iGrad is a good fit.

2. Orientation

Once you’re officially enrolled, you’ll receive an orientation packet and learn how to connect with your teacher, coach, and tech support. You’ll also get tools for discovering your learning style and skill levels, and you'll see the classes available to you. This step allows you to take control of your learning right from the start.

3. Build Your Plan

By the end of orientation, you’ll work with your teacher to create an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP). The ILP is your path to graduation and ensures that your classes match your goals, interests, abilities, and schedule.

4. Work at Your Own Pace

With iGrad, you can study when it works for you—morning, night, or weekend. Take breaks when you need to, or double up some days. Courses are flexible so you can fit them into your life.

5. Ongoing Support

You’re never on your own. Your teacher, coach, and other staff members are always available to guide you, answer questions, and celebrate your success. We monitor progress, provide assistance, and offer encouragement as you move toward your diploma. Our goal is to give you personalized support that encourages motivation and confidence.
